Sometimes when I say thanks to people, they shrug it off or kinda ignore it because it seems sarcastic. In reality, when I say thanks I genuinely mean it, at least 99.8% of the time. So if I sound like I'm being a sarcastic asshole, I really don't mean to come off that way, so apologies there. As for my general lesson in this post, I kinda don't have anything specific in mind. Actually, I take that back; since I'm talking about being grateful, what say I make that the lesson of the day... er couple days. Being grateful is never out of style, and the value of a simple "thank you" is severely underrated. Those two words can make or break a day for some people, so make sure to use your manners when somebody gives you something or does something for you.
Oh yeah, and this is not supposed to be one of those use all of your manners type things that you tell to little kids. Just a little rule of thumb, nothing more.

I am currently a graduate student studying education and will update my thoughts and experiences here periodically. Though the content of my blog may not always be the most intellectually stimulating, I believe that there is always a lesson to be learned from my posts, even if it's just a nonsensical story. I find poetry in ordinary life experiences and capture what memories I can through my camera's lens. At the end of the day I'm just another regular guy who needs to write his thoughts somewhere, and I hope you get some enjoyment out of my musings.
